Emotional Intelligence Workshop
Helping children understand their emotions and learn how to respond in a way that is pleasing to Allah.
Ages 9–13 • Live Online • 1½ hours
This workshop helps children understand why we sometimes take things personally, and how to deal with our emotions in a healthier, calmer way that is pleasing to Allah. Children learn that although we cannot always control what others say or do, we can understand our emotions, question our assumptions, and control how we choose to respond — using Qur'an and authentic hadith, relatable real-life scenarios, discussion and practical activities.
What will we explore?
Why do we take things personally?
Does someone's behaviour always mean something about me?
What actually happened vs. what I think someone meant
What does Islam teach about controlling our reactions?
Thinking well of others instead of assuming the worst
Responding when someone criticises us or is unkind
Dealing with anger, hurt & embarrassment to please Allah
When to overlook something, and when to speak up
